NURSING ROUTINE
In order to protect your jewelery from wear and tear in the long term, we have put together some useful tips for handling, care and storage for you here. With this advice, you can enjoy your favorite jewelry for a long time.
In general, it is advisable to put on your jewelry only after you have applied perfume, hairspray, deodorant, lotions, etc. This will prevent these products from being deposited excessively on the piece of jewellery.
After putting on your jewelry, put them on last and take them off first. It's also a good idea to remove your jewelry before bed to prevent scratching it while you sleep.
Avoid contact of the jewelry with water in combination with soap or dishwater. Rings should especially be removed when cleaning your hands with soap or hand sanitizer. Dirt, dishwater and sweat can damage your jewelry in the long term.
It is recommended to store rings, bracelets and earrings separately to avoid scratches, tarnishing and tangling.
Make sure your jewelry is stored in a dry and ideally airtight place. Gold plated jewelry oxidizes over time and can turn black or grey. Therefore, do not keep your jewelry in the bathroom.
Sweat, dirt particles and cosmetic residue are best removed with a soft cloth. Regular polishing will keep your jewelry in its original shine.
For heavier soiling, we recommend using lukewarm soapy water and a soft toothbrush. After cleaning, rinse the jewelry thoroughly with clean water and then dry it with a towel to avoid the formation of new deposits or water stains. Avoid using jewelry cleaning baths on gold plated pieces!
The gold plating on your jewelry wears down over time. Unfortunately, this process cannot be prevented. However, make sure that the cleaning is not too aggressive, as this can wear down the delicate coating faster.
The tips given here are for the optimal treatment of our jewellery. Of course, it is not possible or sometimes difficult to follow this care routine permanently. In the event of partial disregard, our jewelry will of course remain usable for a long time, but it does not hurt to keep an eye on the protection of the jewelry.
